A welcome reception, symposium dinner, an accompanying persons' program, and post-symposium tours to Istanbul and Cappadocia will be arranged.

Arrival and Departure:

The Tourism Agency, PAMFILYA, will, on request, meet participants arriving at Antalya Airport. You must use the Travel Schedule in the Registration Form (html, doc, pdf) to inform the ICHMT Secretariat well in advance about your flight schedule, complete with date and time of your arrival and the name of the airline. PAMFILYA will provide transportation to and from the airport directly to Merit-Limra Hotel. The charge is in US$, one way, and is according to the number of persons in the party (shown in the table below):

Advance payment is not required. The distance is about 70 km, and the only other direct service from the Airport to Merit-Limra is by taxi, available at all hours, at a cost of approximately US$ 60, one way, for up to 3 persons in daytime (double charge after midnight).

Send the Registration Form (html, doc, pdf) , including the registration fee and room charge for the whole duration of your stay, to ICHMT Secretariat before May 1, 2001.

NOTE: There is no charge for children under age 6. There is 50% discount for children age 7-12. Lunches are included in the whole-day trips. Prepayment for excursion trips is not requested. The excursion trips will be operated with a minimum number of 10 participants.

Day 1: Saturday, June 23

    Early-morning departure from Merit Limra to Antalya Airport for flight to Ankara;Coach to İç Kale Hotel in Ankara; Lunch at the Citadel; Sight-seeing in Ankara (Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, Atatürk's Mausoleum, and Ankara Citadel); Dinner and overnight stay at İç Kale Hotel.

Day 2: Sunday, June 24

    Breakfast and early-morning departure to Cappadocia; Lunch on the way; Sight-seeing in Cappadocia (Göreme Valley, Çavuşini, Citadel of Uçhisar, ancient underground cities of Derinkuyu or Kaymaklı); Overnight stay at Hotel Perissia in Cappadocia.

Day 3: Monday, June 25

    Check-out from Hotel Perissia after breakfast; Sight-seeing in Cappadocia (Avanos, Zelve Valley, Paşabağ); Lunch on the way; Coach to Ankara İç Kale Hotel.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 26

    Tour ends after breakfast and with transfers to Ankara Airport.

Day 1: Saturday, June 23

    Early morning departure from Merit Limra to Antalya Airport for flight to Istanbul. Meet and assist by Istanbul Pamfilya team. Drive to Gulistan restaurant for lunch. After lunch embark to a regular ferry and cruise along the Bosphorus. While crusing enjoy seeing the fortresses, palaces, wooden villas situated on the European and the Asian side. After the tour transfer to Hotel. Dinner at the 4 star hotel.

Day 2: Sunday, June 24

    Full-day sight-seeing in Istanbul (Hippodrome, St. Sophia, Basilica Cistern); Lunch during the trip;

Tour will end with the visit of Kariye Museum . Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Monday, June 25

    Full-day sight seeing in Istanbul (Topkapi Palace, Harem, Blue Mosque Suleymaniye Mosque); Lunch at a local restaurant. Then continue to visit the Covered Bazaar. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 26

    Tour ends after breakfast and with transfers to Istanbul Airport.

General Conditions for Post-conference Tours:

  1. The tour prices include bed-and-breakfast stay in four-star hotels, three lunches and dinners as indicated, entrance fees to tourist places, one domestic flight, and transfer to the airport at the end of the tours.

  2. Booking deadline is May 10, 2001. Please send 50% of the tour price to PAMFILYA. Upon receipt of the Reservation Form for Post Conference Tours and your payment before May 10, 2001, your booking will be confirmed by PAMFILYA.

  3. The tours will be operated with a minimum of 10 persons. Below that number, a new tour price according to the number of requests will be announced after May 10, 2001. If the new tour price is not accepted by the participants, the tour will be cancelled, US$ 20 per person handling charge will be deducted, and the rest of the deposit will be refunded by PAMFILYA.

  4. In case of cancellations made by participants after May 20, 2001, the price of the domestic flight plus US$ 20 will be deducted and the rest of the deposit will be refunded by PAMFILYA.

  5. PAMFILYA can provide additional services before and/or after the tours provided that requests are made well in advance, preferably together with the tour booking. Please contact PAMFILYA for other touristic services such as car rentals, international tickets, hotel reservations, yachting, special-interest tours, and private tours.
