The symposium will comprise

   * keynote lectures (see seperate page ) to be delivered by prominent researchers on computational heat transfer;
   * poster presentations of peer-reviewed contributed papers;
   * a mini-symposium on “Computational Heat Transfer in Biological Systems”; and
   * an Open Forum (see separate page ) for presentation of work in progress.

Authors are asked to send their abstracts and (after contributing authors’ abstracts are accepted) their full papers as Word documents by email to

Any queries regarding submission of papers may be sent to this address.  The timetable for submission is given on the Important Dates page . Authors should see the Guide for Authors for advice on the preparation of their abstracts and papers.

Proceedings: All contributed papers and keynote and invited lectures will be published by Begell House Inc. in a Proceedings CD-ROM. They will also be available for download from the Begell House Electronic Data Center (http://www.edata-center.com/ ).

Journal publication: Begell House also publishes the journal Computational Thermal Sciences . This is a peer-reviewed journal which accepts both fundamental and applied papers in all areas of computational thermal sciences: thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and mass transfer in solids, liquids and gases, with applications in areas such as energy, materials processing, manufacturing, engine and refrigeration cycles, combustion and the environment.  Papers on all aspects of thermal sciences are welcome: both the development of new methods and algorithms and the application of new or existing methods to the solution of existing problems.

Therefore CHT-12 authors who believe their papers are of journal (archival) standard are invited to advise the CHT-12 office if they wish their papers to be considered for publication in Computational Thermal Sciences as well as for presentation and publication at CHT-12. (Note: Begell House Inc. will own the copyright of both the journal and the proceedings, eliminating the problem of duplicate publication so that the same paper may, subject to review, appear in both places.)
