In METU ISEP 2012 students reverse engineer a Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) system used to generate electricity on a Mediterranean Island and suggest design and control changes to improve the system's performance. As part of this program students take field trips to this Mediterranean Island to see the CSP system and attend a scientific conference on clean energy in Izmir, which is close to some of the best beaches and most significant historical sites from antiquity and early Christianity in Turkey.
