A welcome reception, symposium dinner, an accompanying persons' program, and pre/post-symposium tours to Cappadocia, Ephesus & Pamukkale, Antalya will be arranged.

Arrival and Departure:

The taxi service from the Airport to The Marmara Hotel and other hotels is available at all hours and a cost of approximately US$ 15, one way, in day time (double charge after midnight). The distance is about 25 km. All the hotels are at the downtown district called Taksim Square (click for a simple map of the district).

The Tourism Agency, PAMFILYA, will on request, meet participants arriving at Istanbul Airport, but the cost can be higher than that of a taxi. If you require Pamfilya’s service with assistance, you must use the Travel Schedule in the Registration Form (html, doc, pdf) to advise the ICHMT Secretariat well in advance about your flight schedule, complete with date and time of your arrival and the name of the airline. PAMFILYA will provide transportation to and from the airport directly to The Marmara Hotel.

CAPPADOCIA TOUR	Per person in double occupancy	$ 190

Day 1:
Catch the 18:30 Istanbul/Kayseri flight. On arrival at 19:55 you will be met and assisted at the Kayseri airport and transfered to your hotel for dinner & overnight.

Day 2:
Whole day visit the underground cities of Derinkuyu or Kaymakli, Goreme open air musuem, Uchisar, Avanos. Lunch at a local restauarant. After dinner at the hotel guests will be guided to one of the cave restauarants for foklore & show.

Day 3: Monday, October 20
After breakfast at the hotel guests will visit the Mustafapasa, Keslik Monastery, Soganli village and churches. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant.
18:00 transfer to Kayseri airport for KAYSERI/IST flight leaving at 19.25 hrs.

Day 1:
Morning flight to Izmir. Guests will be met at the Izmir airport and transfered to Kusadasi. After check-in the hotel they will start their tours. First they will visit Ephesus, ancient Roman capital of Asia Minor including the largest theatre in Anatolia, Odenon and the Library of Celsus. Continue to visit the Shrine of the Virgin Mary on Panaghia Kapulu Mountain where it is believed that she spent her last years of her life. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2:
Kusadasi/Pamukkale (ca 2 hrs drive) After breakfast at the hotel drive to Pamukkale, a miraculos site, unique and world famous for its fascinating formation of white petrified cascades. The site today is a fine spa-center with its natural therapeutic mineral pools. Nearby is the ancient Hierapolis where stands a magnificent theatre and the temple of Apollo. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight in the hotel

Day 3:

After breakfast at the hotel departure to Izmir airport for noon flight.

Day 1:
Morning flight to Antalya. Meet and assist at the Antalya airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Then visit the Archaeological Museum, with remains from the Paleolithic Age to Ottoman times, offering a glimpse of the area's rich history. Then drive to the west to visit an important city of ancient Pamphylia, Perge, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 B:C: St. Paul preached some of his first sermons here. Then visit Aspendos, the best preserved theater of antiquity, with seating for 15,000. Still used today, the theater's galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify the architect's success. Dinner& overnight in a 4* hotel.

Day 2:
After breakfast at the hotel you will have a pleasant boat tour from Kemer and visit antique Phaselis which once was a major commercial center. Guests will be able to swim. Lunch on board. Dinner & overnight at 4* hotel.

Day 3:

Morning transfer to Antalya airport.

General Conditions for Post-Symposium Tours:

1.	Booking deadline is May 10, 2004. Please send 50% of the tour price to PAMFILYA. Upon receipt of the reservation form for pre-post symposium tours (html, doc, pdf) and your payment before May 10, 2004, your booking will be confirmed by PAMFILYA.
2.	In case of cancellations made by participants after May 10, 2004 USD 20.-/Per person handling charge will be deducted and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded by PAMFILYA.
3.	The tours will be operated with minimum 8 persons. Below that number, a new tour price according to the number of requests will be announced after May 10 2004. If the new tour price will not be accepted by the participants, the tour will be cancelled, USD 20.- per person handling charge will be deducted which may be used as credit for other excursions, and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded by PAMFILYA.
4.	PAMFILYA can provide additional services before and/or after the tours provided that requests are made well in advance, preferably together with the tour booking. Please contact PAMFILYA for any other touristic services such as car rentals, international tickets, hotel reservations, yachting, special-interest tours and private tours.
