OBJECTIVE

This meeting is part of the ICHMT series of seminars on Heat & Mass Transfer in Biological Systems, and is partially sponsored by the Fairberg Endowment Fund for Cardiac Research. The meeting concentrates on the control and regulation of transfer phenomena in the cardiac system and will take place in Antalya, a resort town on the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey. Previous related ICHMT meetings were held in Greece (1992) and Antalya (2002).

As before, the main objective of the meeting is to bring together the leading scientists in the life-exact sciences and engineers involved in research and practice of transport phenomena in biological systems for in-depth discussions of the state of the art and expose the participants to the leading edge of theory, experiments and clinical applications of biological transfer phenomena.
